Americana Longies

This was my most recent Custom Order. The mama who ordered these came up with the design herself. Her husband was returning home from a tour of duty and she wanted something special for their daughter to wear. They turned out amazing.

Just finished!

This is a newborn set done all in cotton. So soft and squishy and machine washable!!!!

It was a pleasure knitting this up!!

Finally!

I finally marked a spot on my customs list for one of our children! I was able to whip this set up in less than a week. (Keep in mind, I only knit after the kids go to bed.)

I fell in love with this yarn colorway on hyena cart. It's "Kara" by A Time to Dye on Cestari Superfine Merino. I'd worked on Cestari before and had mixed feelings about it. It was soft, but had lots of twigs/hay in it, then it got really thin in one spot and really messed up the gauge. But, I had already ordered this. So, I knew I had to try Cestari again. I LOVE IT!

This is the softest wool I've ever used!!! This batch of Cestari had way less "stuff" in it and it stayed a consistent weight. Wahoo!!

Newest Set Completed

I just finished this set for a very nice mama over at diaperswappers. We even had enough yarn for a matching hat. :) These are a size Large knit with the Sheepy Time pattern and Plymouth Galaway yarn. So so yummy!!!

I just have to share!

I just have to share this adorable outfit I knit up for our friends. They are expecting their first baby, a girl, in December. I'm hoping to get her to try some cloth diapers and she is open minded about it. :) Hee, hee! So here's her first longies!!!

Also included is a sweater and a hat. :) I love it!!!
